PIC based Apple II floppy access

I have started one version of my Apple II floppy access device. This project is named Galahad in keeping with my Aurtherian theme.

I am building two verisons concurrently

1) PIC 18F2550 based unit that will accept Apple II cards
2) PIC 18F4450 based unit that will use a SWIM chip to connect to various Apple II drives

The only real difference (for this project) betweeen the 2550 and 4550 is that the 4550 has more i/o's

Nothing is wired up yet. I will post my progress here as I go along.

ok... a disk II drive connected to a PIC and USB port...

What is the goal? connection of a 5.25 drive to a PC?

To any USB host that wants to access Apple II 5.25. 3.5 and perhaps smartport devices.
