USB Device code

Postby support » Thu Jun 30, 2005 12:05 pm

Once I get going I intend to develop some code to let me access Apple II Disk II and Smartport devices from a PC to an Apple II with a USB device adapter.

The first version will should :) make it easier to copy/update 5.25 & 3.5 inch diskettes directly from a PC... maybe from an emulator if the support can be added or from Ciderpress's volume access facility.

Later on I hope to develop a standalone hardware version which would let one access Disk II and smartport devices with out the need for a real Apple II.

Just vapour at this point ...

Very cool! This topic came up on csa2 just recently:

If you've been playing with it, perhaps you can chime in with your opinion on others' opinions. ;-)

Cheers,
Nick.
