Uther card kills Apple //e

I've got an Uther card that seems to have a short or something somewhere. No matter what slot I put it in, when I put it in and turn on the power to the //e, the //e does not turn on, nor does the motherboard LED light.

If I take the card out, it boots just fine.


This happens with or without a cable connected to the card. Everything on the card seems seated correctly, no visible shorts, cold solder joints, or cut traces. But it just seems...a dud.

are the rest of your slots loaded?

two options: 1: Uther + the rest of your cards are putting too much draw on power supply

2: Uther (or the slot you put it in) is shorted. -12 to +12, or -5 to +5

Hadn't thought of that. 5 of the 7 slots are full, yes. I'll try taking some out and see if the problem persists.
