Contiki and iPhone

Postby napabar » Sat Sep 06, 2008 9:38 am

I really love the combination of Contiki, and the Uther card. I've gotten them (in emulation) to connect to my iPhone! I've made a video of it at

I have question about Contiki. It seems that the Web Browser and FTP client can only use the default ports of 80 and 21. I could not get them to use non-standard ports with a colon or a space. Can this be done? The HTTP/FTP server program on my iPhone can't be set with those standard ports (for security?) so I had to do some port mapping on my router and come in from the outside. I'd rather just be able to do this from Contiki. Anyone know how to use non-standard HTTP and FTP ports with Contiki?

Thanks!

Hi Niles,

First of all thanks for your interest in Contiki :D

Regarding the non-standard ports just check out lines 289-291 of http://contiki.cvs.sourceforge.net/contiki/contiki-2.x/apps/webbrowser/www.c?revision=1.9&view=markup

This should answer it all...

Best, Oliver
